In a move set to bolster its presence in the managed service provider (MSP) landscape, Air IT has announced the acquisition of SCS Technology Solutions. The Lincolnshire-based company, founded in 1995, brings a wealth of experience and a strong client base to Air IT's expanding portfolio.

With 11 offices scattered across the UK, Air IT is no stranger to growth and expansion. This acquisition marks another strategic step towards solidifying its position as a key player in the SME-focused managed IT services sector.

Matthew Stead, Managing Director at SCS Technology Solutions, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, stating, "We are pleased to join forces with Air IT and leverage their scale and expertise, as well as their added capability and resources to better serve our clients."

James Steventon, CEO at Air IT, echoed Stead's sentiments, highlighting the strategic significance of the acquisition. "This acquisition aligns seamlessly with our strategic growth objectives and reinforces our position as a leading SME-focused provider of managed IT services," Steventon affirmed.

Steventon went on to emphasise the value of SCS's established reputation and client relationships, particularly in the Lincoln area. "SCS has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality IT services to businesses in Lincoln for almost 30 years," he noted. "We are committed to building on their success and delivering further value, enhancing services to meet ever-changing client needs."

The acquisition of SCS Technology Solutions by Air IT underscores the ongoing consolidation within the MSP sector, as larger players seek to expand their reach and capabilities. It also reflects the growing importance of providing comprehensive IT solutions to SMEs, who increasingly rely on external expertise to navigate the complexities of modern technology.

As Air IT continues to grow its presence nationwide, it remains to be seen how this latest acquisition will shape its future trajectory and competitive positioning within the dynamic MSP landscape. One thing is certain: with each strategic move, Air IT is solidifying its position as a powerhouse in the UK's managed IT services industry.
