Arrow Electronics introduces Cloud Object Storage for Backup on ArrowSphere Cloud

Highly resilient solution with unlimited capacity that empowers businesses to effortlessly backup large volumes of data to the cloud.

Arrow Electronics has launched Arrow Cloud Object Storage for Backup. The new service, built on IBM Cloud, is designed to support the growing need for data protection for businesses operating digitally. It is available exclusively to Arrow channel partners across EMEA via ArrowSphere Cloud.

Working with IBM Cloud and international vendor of cloud SaaS offerings Anycloud, Arrow has developed a scalable solution that allows businesses to scale their storage requirements while adapting to the ever-changing demands of data backup. It provides advanced encryption and data protection measures, with data stored in IBM datacentres.

An easy-to-use management portal streamlines processes and a fixed price per TB pricing model helps ensure customers only pay for their storage consumption, with no setup fees or variables.

"Businesses are managing increasing quantities of data and are often struggling with complex storage and backup solutions," said Mark Barcham, head of services sales and go-to-market for Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in EMEA. “Arrow Cloud Object Storage for Backup harnesses the power and security of IBM Cloud and delivers it in a user-friendly web portal with a transparent, fixed price model. There are no hidden fees or setup costs – just effortless data management that scales when needed. This new service will empower our channel partners and their customers to focus on what matters – achieving their goals."

The native object storage solution is created for any type of backup software or SaaS with “Bring Your Own Storage” (BYOS). Data is replicated across multiple devices and IBM data centres for durability and protection.

"Building upon years of successful collaboration with Anycloud and Arrow, we are excited to take the next step, signifying our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions,” said Lars Kristensen, IBM cloud leader Northern and Eastern Europe. “Together, we will introduce a pioneering market solution for the EMEA region, with plans for global expansion. With high expectations, we look forward to revolutionizing data storage and backup solutions, empowering businesses worldwide."

"I'm thrilled to announce the launch of Arrow Cloud Object Storage for Backup, a testament to our commitment to continuously innovate data management solutions with simplicity at the core,” said Gregor Frimodt-Møller, Anycloud group CEO. “This milestone would not have been possible without our valued relationship with IBM and together with Arrow's extensive trust and market reach. We are now empowering businesses with a robust, scalable, and reliable object storage solution based on a simple price model."
