Arrow Electronics and Scality join forces

New alliance advances Scality ARTESCA, the leading immutable S3 object storage software for Veeam.

Arrow Electronics has announced a new distribution agreement with Scality, a global leader in cyber-resilient storage software for the AI era, to drive further adoption of ARTESCA, Scality’s secure, easy-to-use object storage software for immutable, cyber-resilient backups in focused markets across EMEA.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to address our customers’ pressing demand for cyber-resilient storage solutions,” said Mike Worby, head of strategic alliances for Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in EMEA. “Scality’s solutions precisely target the intersection of three pivotal customer priorities: cyber resiliency, data management, and preparing for the modern AI data center. ARTESCA in particular is especially appealing for customers and channel partners alike with its low cost of entry, easy deployment models and integration with large backup vendors like Veeam.”

The agreement comes at a time when the hybrid-cloud infrastructure market is on the rise. According to recent reporting, the overall demand for infrastructure solutions to support organisational data stored across public, private, and on-premises environments is projected to grow over the next eight to 10 years.1 Specifically, reports also indicate the private cloud segment will experience steady growth due to concerns over the security and protection of confidential data.2

“The alliance with Arrow accelerates our mission to keep end-user customers protected against ransomware,” said Wally MacDermid, Scality vice president of worldwide alliances and distribution. “With Scality ARTESCA and Veeam, Arrow channel partners on the hunt for cyber-resilient infrastructures now have a turnkey, immutable solution to thwart any threat -- even AI-fueled ransomware attacks.”

Arrow will distribute all Scality product SKUs with an emphasis on ARTESCA cyber-resilient storage for Veeam. According to Scality, ARTESCA has grown five times year over year in revenue since 2023, with channel partners driving 100 percent of the business. Purpose-built for resellers, ARTESCA for Veeam makes deployment easy with flexible appliance options and a low entry price point while delivering feature-rich resiliency for unbreakable data protection.

As a value-added distributor, Arrow is already off to a fast start and currently ramping up distribution-selling teams in focused markets across EMEA. Training programs, product certifications, and marketing campaigns are actively in place to support the expansion of ARTESCA adoption in strategic locations.
