CrowdStrike unveils Falcon Cloud Security innovations

CrowdStrike has unveiled AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) and announced the general availability of Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) as fully integrated components of CrowdStrike Falcon® Cloud Security. These innovations make Falcon Cloud Security the only CNAPP to deliver comprehensive visibility and protection across cloud infrastructure, applications, data and AI models from a single, unified platform.

Additionally, CrowdStrike unveiled powerful new enhancements to CrowdStrike Falcon® Identity Protection, including Falcon Privileged Access and real-time threat protection for Microsoft Entra ID. These new innovations are designed to stop cross-domain attacks that leverage stolen credentials to breach cloud environments and move laterally across endpoints, all within a single workflow.

Cloud exploitation cases grew 110% over the past year, while identity-based attacks continue to surge with 75% of attacks to gain initial access being malware-free. At the same time, adversaries are increasingly targeting AI services and large language models (LLM) deployed in the cloud. Security teams need a modern CNAPP that provides visibility into, and real-time protection across, every attack path to stop sophisticated threats and allow organizations to safely harness the transformative power of AI. Falcon Cloud Security is the only platform that protects the entire modern cloud estate – infrastructure, applications, data and AI models – within a single unified console and workflow.

“As organizations increasingly adopt hybrid cloud and AI strategies to fuel their growth, they also introduce more complexity and gaps that adversaries exploit, leading to greater risk and potential compromise,” said Michael Sentonas, president, CrowdStrike. “With the latest innovations to Falcon Cloud Security and Falcon Identity Protection, we’re eliminating complexity and closing critical security gaps through real-time visibility and protection across hybrid cloud environments, applications, data, AI models and identities. The only way to see and secure every attack path is to unify workflows on a single console that stops breaches across the entire cloud estate.”

New innovations to Falcon Cloud Security and Falcon Identity Protection include:

AI Security Posture Management: A new capability, AI-SPM monitors AI services and LLMs deployed in the cloud, detects misconfigurations, and identifies and addresses vulnerabilities to enable secure AI innovation.

Data Security Posture Management: Now fully integrated with Falcon Cloud Security, security teams can discover, classify and protect data in all states – at rest or in motion – as it flows through the cloud estate and across endpoints.

Falcon Privileged Access: Enforces least privilege through risk-based Just-in-Time (JIT) access across hybrid cloud environments to reduce the identity attack surface and combat cross-domain attacks spanning clouds, identities and endpoints.

Real-Time Threat Protection for Microsoft Entra ID: Delivers Falcon’s AI-powered identity protection against password spraying, phishing and other identity threats targeting Entra ID (cloud-based active directory) environments.
