ANS appoints Chris Huntingford as Director of AI Strategy

Digital transformation leader, ANS, has strengthened its AI offering by aligning Chris Huntingford as Director of AI. This strategic move coincides with ANS being named Microsoft UK Services Partner of the Year 2024, reflecting its ongoing pursuit to prepare UK businesses for AI-driven innovation.

In his new role, Huntingford will lead ANS’s responsible AI Go to Market initiatives, helping customers envision the right data, cloud, and security practices to maximise AI’s impact. He’ll also guide organisations in strategically aligning their AI initiatives with key business objectives, driving both innovation and impact. This is in line with ANS’s ambition to unlock AI’s full potential to revolutionise current work processes and elevate customers’ experiences through tailored AI solutions, like Microsoft Copilot.

This comes at a time when over a quarter of mid-sized enterprises are said to be exploring AI opportunities, according to ANS’s recent Business Blockers report. With Huntingford’s extensive experience, ANS is poised to guide more businesses towards successful AI adoption.

Huntingford joined ANS in November 2022 as the Low Code Lead and Platform Evangelist, before moving to Director of Digital Innovation in October 2023. During his time with the company, he has played a fundamental role in supporting organisations to leverage and embrace innovation by adopting technologies including AI, low code, and security measures.

Richard Thompson, CEO of ANS celebrated the appointment: “Chris has made a fantastic impact on the company since he first joined us in 2022, and I’m confident this will continue in his new role. AI is everywhere in today’s world; businesses that don’t remain curious about its capabilities and developments risk falling behind. That’s why making sure that organisations of all sizes can access AI and make the most of its benefits is paramount. Chris’s move strengthens our ability to provide the support and expertise needed to make this a reality.”

Chris Huntingford added: “The past few years have already seen AI take most industries by storm, and this isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. We’re at the beginning of a seismic shift, which is set to transform the working world for the next generation. It’s an incredible opportunity, but it also comes with an important level of responsibility. As we move into this new age of AI, it’s crucial that we place ethical and safe technology use at the forefront of any digital transformation efforts. This is the only way we can truly unlock AI’ s full potential in an effective and sustainable way.”
