Season one of MSP Legends gives viewers insight into the unique nature of the managed service provider (MSP) community and the IT channel from the perspective of Rob Rae, Pax8 Corporate Vice President of Community and Ecosystems. The first episode is now available on the Pax8 YouTube channel.

“Our desire for this documentary is to capture the essence of this ecosystem of partners, marketplaces and vendors as we all move in the same direction toward helping the world’s small and medium businesses with their IT needs,” said Rae. “We wanted to deliver a new approach and a fresh look into what makes this community different. I spend a lot of time with MSPs and partners, and I wanted to show all the amazing work and collaboration that goes on daily through my own eyes.”

The global small and midsized business (SMB) IT spending market size was $243.32 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach $261.29 billion by 2033, according to a Business Research Insights report. The MSP community empowers much of that small business growth through technology adoption that helps SMBs gain efficiencies, reduce costs and ultimately expand their businesses, which is a key focus of the first in a four-part documentary series airing today. The fourth episode will feature a behind the scenes look at Pax8’s leading conference for MSPs, Beyond 2025.

“Our team at Pax8 Studios wanted to give our audiences a new and different way to learn more about the MSP community and its impact on small businesses,” said Nick Yardley, Pax8 Studios Senior Executive Producer. “The exciting thing about this series is that we get to feature legendary figures in this high-growth ecosystem, and Rob Rae is the perfect fit for season one. Future seasons will be shown through the eyes of other industry legends.”

“I have been part of the MSP community for nearly 20 years, and I am so excited to see a video series focused on us, featuring the legend, Rob Rae, that showcases the way we do business, support our SMB clients and collaborate together,” said Corey Kirkendoll, President and CEO of 5K Technical Services. “Pax8 takes the lead in innovation and now they’re taking the lead in show business by putting our IT channel on the map with this cool documentary series. That’s really something special.”
