Renowned discount retailer Home Bargains has entered into a strategic partnership with the Evolve Business Group, a leader in managed network solutions. This collaboration aims to provide robust and secure connectivity across its expanding portfolio of over 650 stores in the UK. Already, 50 stores have integrated with the new system.

Established in Liverpool in 1976 by Tom Morris, Home Bargains is synonymous with its motto, “Top Brands, Bottom Prices,” offering exceptional value to customers. This new partnership with Evolve will simplify and fortify the company’s network infrastructure, setting the stage for sustained growth.

The initiative will unify several legacy networks, used for purposes such as payments and CCTV monitoring, into a single managed solution. Overseen by Evolve’s round-the-clock technical support desk, this move promises enhanced reliability, improved network performance visibility, and swifter issue resolution.

Evolve has designed the network to ensure maximum uptime. To this end, diverse connections have been established in each store, featuring automatic failover mechanisms to maintain connectivity even if one line encounters problems.

To further streamline operations, firewall rules and system configurations can be updated automatically across all Home Bargains outlets. This automation facilitates the immediate deployment of new features, enhancing functionality without delay.

Utilising their longstanding Platinum partnership with Mako Networks, Evolve has implemented bespoke solutions tailored for Home Bargains. These solutions provide reliable, compliant, and future-proof connectivity using technologies such as fibre-to-the-premise (FTTP). Moreover, Evolve has established highly secure connections to payment data centres and gift card hosts, upholding the highest standards of PCI compliance.

Alan Stephenson-Brown, CEO of Evolve Business Group, expressed pride in supporting the retailer's growth: “Home Bargains is a cherished British brand with deep roots. Our tailored network solutions enable them to expand confidently, safeguarding their values and service quality.”
