7 Elements expands team after period of high growth

IT security testing consultants, 7 Elements, has announced the expansion of its UK wide team with the appointment of three key roles, and with the imminent recruitment of an additional two team members. The business has enjoyed growth in the last twelve months and requires an expansion of the team to meet the increasing need from the financial services and oil and gas industries.

Sam Hartley joined the team as Senior Security Consultant from international IT specialist NTT, when he saw an opportunity to make more of a strategic difference within a smaller organisation. When asked about his new role, Hartley said: “I enjoy working in such a customer focussed environment and our agility allows us to create testing scenarios tailored to our clients’ needs rather than have them pick from a standard set of services.”

7 Elements has also recruited two graduates who join the team this summer on a 12 month graduate programme, developed and run internally by the 7 Elements team. The programme includes shadowing and training opportunities which are assessed throughout the 12 months with a six month and an end of year industry recognised practical certification to ensure the graduate programme delivers top quality testers.

Ross Bingham, who has recently graduated with a BSc in Computer Security Technologies from Glasgow Caledonian University, said about his new role:
“The main motivator for me joining the 7 Elements team was the exceptional work ethic and strong business values. Coupled with the opportunity for growth and development within the graduate programme, it was a very attractive proposition. It is above and beyond that of which I have seen in other companies.”

Gareth Renaud has completed a Computer Science degree from the University of Glasgow and is starting the graduate programme in July.

7 Elements is also actively recruiting for two further key positions including a Senior Security Tester with the highest level of Crest qualifications and a Security Tester who is working towards the highest level of Crest qualifications.
