Jointly owned by three of the nation’s largest cable system operators, Comcast, Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable, NCC Media required a solution that provided simple and fast service for both its internal and external customers.

After a thorough review of competitive solutions, Extreme Networks’ Ethernet data centre switches, including the award-winning BlackDiamond® X8 core platform, were selected by NCC for high-speed 10/40/100 Gigabit network infrastructure that supports NCC Media’s crash kits, outer offices, backup data centre and primary data centre.

NCC Media deployed the BlackDiamond X8 cloud-scale data centre switch with high-density wire-speed switching support for 10GbE to 100GbE connectivity for edge-to-core applications.

Extreme Networks’ switches and software deliver automated configuration and provisioning, effectively easing upkeep and providing simplicity of deployment and operations.

NCC Media also deployed a scalable, full-featured network and service management tool to centrally manage all network elements across the enterprise. All updates, patches, configuration changes and monitoring of devices for NCC Media are easily controlled from a centre console.
