Nexenta to collaborate around CloudStack solutions

Nexenta has announced a collaboration with Opscode® Enterprise Chef™ to help CloudStack customers provision and automate their storage, creating the Software-Defined Data Centre of the future. The solution will be demonstrated at the CloudStack Collaboration Conference in Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam, 20-22 November.

RF Code has announced a new type of security optimised mounting tab for tracking critical assets in the data centre. Developed to be utilised in concert with the recently released M174 IR-enabled tag, the tabs offer a tamper notification that is triggered when tags are removed, replaced, or altered.

Flexiant, is opening its platform to support OpenStack to solve the business challenges associated with the open source cloud management solution. Service providers must have the functionality to commercialize their cloud offering, but the core OpenStack project currently lacks the ability to meet this business need. Flexiant announced its roadmap to be the orchestration layer on top of OpenStack that will enable service providers to launch differentiated cloud services, quickly and at scale.
