With the aim of getting people back into the workplace through training and education, Working Links can now offer a faster, more efficient customer portal for users to check the progress of their applications, update their profiles or apply for new roles. Its personal consultants can provide a more professional, reliable and efficient service to users and agencies, and billing and service desk management has been improved.
Formed of over 200 virtual servers and benefitting from an increased storage capacity of over 50 TB, switching to the cloud has reduced the costs associated with day-to-day IT management for Working Links and has helped it to deliver an improved, reliable, faster service to its users. Around 90% of the Working Links’ IT estate has now been moved to the Easynet cloud, which gives Working Links the flexibility to add sites, migrate applications and incorporate software updates whenever it chooses.
Karen Masterson, IT Director, Working Links said, “Our organisation equips people to build better lives for themselves. We have an obligation and a commitment to give them the technology to support this, and our migration to the cloud is part of this commitment. The smooth migration and efficiency of the systems are testament to the Easynet team.”
Adrian Thirkill, UK MD for Easynet Global Services said, “At the heart of this IT transformation is a group of people with a deep commitment and motivation to help people to return to work. Working Links rely on having access to fast, secure information and the ability to respond quickly to opportunities. In order to guarantee that their experience as an end user is faultless, behind the scenes Working Links and Easynet Global Services have worked tirelessly on integrating the many different elements of this project. The result has been the successful completion of a complex and innovative IT delivery which has changed Working Links’ operation”.
