Global power leader Cummins Power Generation announces a new preconfigured model of the PowerCommand DMC 200/300 Paralleling System. The new system provides a rapid and flexible means of implementing paralleling solutions for multiple generator sets.

The preconfigured DMC 200/300 systems enable system-level paralleling control for up to eight generator sets, integrated with automatic transfer switches and switchgear. Up to two utility connections for high and low voltage isolated bus, infinite bus, and open or closed transition are provided for.

Swift solution for critical protection
The new preconfigured system will be particularly attractive for mission critical applications, including data centers, healthcare facilities and water treatment plants. Consultants and specifying engineers can choose one of seven preset configurations of various complexities,
encompassing a wide range of mission critical scenarios. After selecting the most appropriate configuration, the engineer can apply it to the needs of a particular site quickly, without the need for additional software tools. Because they require less customization, preconfigured DMC 200/300 systems are available with shorter lead times than made-to-order systems.

Adaptable and easy to use
A simple-to-use high-resolution touchscreen using standard software modules allows the operator to easily configure system functions onsite with no additional programming, offering a manageable and efficient solution.

Site parameters – the number of generators, number of utilities and the system topology – are entered through the 15-inch touchscreen using a user friendly graphical interface. Each screen contains navigation buttons that give quick access to the other screens. Screens include a one-line diagram showing up to eight generator sets, system control, manual control, event history, system parameter trends in chart format, alarms, metering and a summary of the generator set’s critical operating parameters.

The PowerCommand DMC 200/300 Paralleling System has been extensively prototype tested to ensure conformity to system functionality, specifications and standards for optimum performance and reliability.
