Norland’s supplier ecosystem talks collaboration

Norland held its seventh annual supply partner event on 3rd October. More than 700 delegates attended what was a fantastic forum for Norland’s managers, along with the company’s customers and supply partners, to discuss service delivery and industry trends. Supply partner ‘LCC Support Services’ were named Norland’s ‘Supplier of the Year’.

Held at the Vinopolis in Central London, this year’s delegates explored some of the prevailing facilities management trends and discussed how the industry must constantly evolve in order to continue meeting the needs of customers.

With ‘Building a Quality Ecosystem’ as the theme, customers, supply partners and Norland employees all considered the role each part of the ‘ecosystem’ must play in working together collaboratively to support the delivery of high-quality services.

Rachel Lee, Norland’s Group Procurement Director said: “The calibre of Norland’s supply partner ecosystem and their ability to work as a single extended team is vital if we are to continue raising the bar. The day was another great opportunity to look at how we build mutually-beneficial relationships with our supply base and really get to grips with our customers’ needs”.

Bob Vincent, Executive Chairman, LCC Support Services said: “For LCC to receive the Norland Supplier of the Year Award for 2013 is a fantastic achievement bearing in mind we have only been working as a supplier for Norland for a couple of years. I would like to thank everyone at Norland and LCC who has helped us to achieve this accolade”.

Robert Swann, Sales Director at supply partner, ESG added: "The Norland Annual Supplier event is an amazing opportunity to hear how ESG can help Norland deliver. Thank you for opening your doors to ESG and challenging us to deliver our promises and help to redefine excellence within the industry". Tony Eyre from Trane UK also commented: “It is good to see Norland putting on these events as they are leading the way in these types of events and driving forward collaboration with the supply chain”.

Other winners included ‘Demma Services’ who won in the ‘Best Customer Service’ category; ‘Camfil Farr’ who won for the ‘Most Innovative Service’ and ‘G&H Building Services’ who were ‘Supplier of the Year’ for Norland projects.

Norland’s Rachel Lee added ‘We are extremely pleased with how the day went and particularly with how many of our customers attended because it’s when we get our suppliers, staff and customers all talking that new ideas and innovations develop. Many of our customers commented on how refreshing it is to see us working so closely with our supply chain and they can see the value that it brings to their businesses’.
