Jens Montanana, the CEO of Datatec commented: “The separation of the division from Analysys Mason (which will continue to focus on providing strategic TMT consulting services and research) and the return of Steve Watmough, will bring increased management focus and new talent. This new structure will allow Mason to maximise opportunities presented by the fundamental shifts in technology and increasingly specialised client demands.”
Steve Watmough commented: “I am very pleased to have been able to join forces with Datatec on such an exciting initiative, where we are able, from day one, to grow and leverage opportunities presented by the transformation in the IT market and the demand for strategic consulting-led IT services and expertise.”
Steve is an experienced industry professional and entrepreneur who spent four years at Mason Communications prior to it being acquired by Datatec. In 2000, Steve co-founded Xantus, a specialist IT consulting business that was sold to KPMG in 2011 (joining them as a Partner and head of their UK CIO Advisory Practice thereafter). Prior to joining Mason Communications, Steve held senior technical management roles at Boots PLC for over ten years.
Steve will be joined in the management of Mason by Duncan Swan, an existing Partner of Analysys Mason Limited. Duncan, who has over 25 years’ industry experience, joined Mason Communications in 1995.
