3PAR healthcheck from Azlan

Azlan, the enterprise division of Tech Data, is offering to perform SAN Health Checks for HP resellers who want to drive more storage business. Azlan is offering specific services for HP 3PAR StoreServ and StoreVirtual solutions, testing resilience and performance and putting forward recommendations for potential improvement. Azlan can offer similar services for customers with legacy HP storage platforms such as Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA) and help develop a migration strategy to an up-to-date platform.

These onsite services are carried out by an HP-qualified storage consultant, who will validate that the customer’s configuration is healthy and conforms to best practice, determine if any updates are required and make recommendations for future upgrades around capacity and performance.

Azlan’s Professional Services team is also providing a Quickstart SAN Fabric Entry Level service that reduces business risk, while enabling successfully deployment of a SAN Fabric of up to two Brocade, QLogic or Cisco switches, with onsite installation performed by qualified storage engineers as part of a larger SAN project.

Jonathan Kaiser, Head of Product for Azlan’s HP Enterprise Group, says: “With these services, HP partners can help their customers to develop a deep understanding of how their environment is performing, ensure optimum efficiency and identify any areas of under-performance. The applications supported by these storage systems are usually the most critical line-of-business tools within a customer’s environment. Performance and stability of the storage is of the upmost importance.

“HP is seen as a trusted solution and these professional assessment services can help resellers that don’t perhaps have in-house storage expertise of their own to respond faster and more precisely to customer requirements on storage. It’s a fantastic way for HP partners to offer and to add more value.”
