HauteSpot’s technology gathers video from body worn equipment, as well as fixed video from in-car dash cams installed in ambulances, fire trucks, and more. Their camera technology produces a vast amount of data, and with increasing legal requirements and lengthening retention terms, the need to safely and affordably retain video is at an all-time high. While HauteSpot works in the field, Spectra’s archive solutions seamlessly retain video from their cameras in the data center on highly reliable disk and digital tape technology. Spectra and HauteSpot’s combined solution allows public agencies to manage mandated retention polices in a cost effective manner.

“Our combined products allow the body camera video to be affordably retained and managed within the public agency. There’s no need to send the body camera video to a pubic cloud service or other third-party provider,” said Spectra Logic’s Vice President of Business Development, Video Surveillance, Ray Heineman. “The integrity of body camera video for public confidence is what sets this solution apart from others.”

“The technology partnership between HauteSpot and Spectra Logic offers the surveillance market a unique end-to-end solution,” said Chairman of HauteSpot Networks, Bob Ehlers. “Video created by HauteSpot cameras can be retained seamlessly with Spectra’s archive solutions through our integration – providing organisations a complete solution for both mobile and fixed cameras.”
