Fujitsu is enabling mid-market businesses to modernise their infrastructure and take advantage of the latest Microsoft-based communication and collaboration technologies with a set of new dedicated solutions to join the PRIMEFLEX line-up of Integrated Systems.

Targeted at helping businesses to unleash the full potential of unified communications platforms, the new additions to the PRIMEFLEX family further expand one of the industry’s broadest, most powerful selections of dedicated Integrated Systems, comprising both reference architectures and ready-to-run systems.

The latest solutions to join the PRIMEFLEX line-up focus on enabling customers to leverage the full benefits of unified communications environments – for example creating seamless communications by upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Exchange and connecting real-time collaboration tools such as Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business to ISDN telephone networks, and extending the usability of Microsoft-based telepresence and remote collaboration tools such as Lync.

To drive competitiveness and keep up with the communication and collaboration technologies that are becoming standard within larger organisations, Fujitsu is providing smaller businesses with access to pre-packaged ICT solutions for Microsoft environments. In combination with PRIMEFLEX for Microsoft SharePoint, these improve and streamline the flow of information and communications, and help make business processes more transparent and efficient.

In the past, implementing unified communications structures required a deep knowledge of all the components involved, and in particular, an understanding of their interdependencies – as well as managing complex and frequent infrastructure upgrades.

Fujitsu’s newly-introduced PRIMEFLEX Integrated Systems for Microsoft solve that, with a set of three purpose-made systems that provide mid- and smaller size businesses with compelling economic arguments in favour of adopting unified communications technology. Not only do these tools make collaborative working easier but also they reduce overheads such as phone and analogue teleconferencing charges. As PRIMEFLEX systems are largely sold via the channel, Fujitsu is also providing its international network of SELECT Partner Program members with resources¹ that enable them to better support their customers to achieve this goal.

The Fujitsu Integrated System PRIMEFLEX reference architecture is a pre-defined, pre-integrated and pre-tested combination of servers, storage, network connectivity and software. The latest additions for Microsoft platforms are easily adjusted to customer-specific requirements and administrators can scale-up the systems with ease and confidence.

Uwe Romppel, Senior Director and Head of Product Management Server at Fujitsu, says: “With our new PRIMEFLEX offerings, projects can be designed with considerably less effort, and so implemented much faster. This gives customers the peace-of-mind that their communication and collaboration services will be implemented without risks and up-and-running as quickly as possible.”
