eg solutions, pioneer of back office workforce optimisation solutions, has become a member of the Cloud Industry Forum (CIF); the industry body established to promote trust, security and transparency for the Cloud.

CIF was established in 2009 to assist end users in determining the necessary information to enable them to adopt cloud services. CIF provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice for credible online Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). Since its conception it has grown to become an established voice in the UK and global Cloud marketplace with well over 50 industry members.

eg developed the market leading enterprise workforce optimisation software for the back office and in 2012 launched its Managed Cloud Service to manage work, people and end-to-end processes wherever they are undertaken, anywhere in the world.

eg’s software is recognised as the most comprehensive back office workforce optimisation software suite available in the market. Its Managed Cloud Solutions address both the rise of the Hybrid IT estate whilst further developing its capability to support the demands of the Next Generation Contact Centre and its staff.

Elizabeth Gooch, CEO, eg solutions, stated: “For businesses to succeed in the digital age they must also be digitally managed and that requires solutions to support mobile workers and managers on the move, from any device, anywhere and at any time. Those solutions enable the whole workforce to collaborate to achieve better results for the customer and, in recent years, that has meant delivering applications within the Cloud or on-premises or, increasingly, in a Hybrid IT environment.

“There are dramatic shifts taking place in what has traditionally been referred to as the ‘back office’. The complexity of the work and its effect on customer satisfaction, efficiency and compliance is increasingly moving the back office away from a centralised model to a virtual organisation of widely distributed locations with closer ties to the front office and contact centres. This is the very real revolution that is driving digital transformation and that is in turn being empowered by the Cloud,” she added.

Alex Hilton, CEO of Cloud Industry Forum, added: “What is clear from our own research is that Hybrid IT is becoming a valuable bridge between the convenience of cloud and the need to retain sensitive information on-premise. The role of IT is therefore evolving dramatically; becoming enabler of services, business agility and transformation, as opposed to being just a cost centre to deliver services and devices. This appears to be the experience of many of our members including eg who we are delighted to see join our ranks.

“eg solutions is a UK technology success story; one of a number of digital tech businesses that are transforming not only the employment landscape, but driving improvements in productivity and reimagining traditional industries; such as the call centre and the Back Office. This is the core of just how transformative Cloud based technology is and why we welcome new members such as eg solutions,” concluded Alex.
