N.G. Zhang, CEO and co-founder of Canaan Creative confirmed the news today:
“Canaan Creative are expanding to Europe to continue developing blockchain technology for new markets and applications. We came to the conclusion that Boden is the best location for us to drive blockchain technology to the next level.”
A high level of technological development, green energy abundance and the lowered tax rates were among the main reasons convincing Canaan to choose Sweden and Boden.
“We have worked intensively over several years to become a leading cluster for blockchain and HPC (High Performance Computing) technology. Canaan Creative is a cutting-edge company with long-term plans and unique expertise in the rapidly growing blockchain market. The fact that Canaan Creative selected us goes to show that we are on the right track”, says Erik Svensson, CEO of Boden Business Agency.
Patrik ?hlund, newly appointed CEO of The Node Pole comments:
“Canaan Creative’s European expansion puts Boden and Sweden at the forefront of HPC infrastructure and blockchain solutions. We now see companies increasingly looking towards specialized clusters. On the one hand to cloudify their infrastructure and on the other hand to compete in the European market. Canaan Creative and Boden are a perfect fit and we wish them a warm welcome to The Node Pole”, says Patrik ?hlund, newly appointed CEO of The Node Pole.
The actual premises Canaan Creative will utilize have previously been run as a (HPC) data center by KnC Miner, a Swedish bitcoin company filed for bankruptcy in May 2016. A further expansion is possible but not discussed at this point. Previous tenants running data center operations have found other premises in Boden.
