Third-party data centre operators receiving the bulk of data centre budgets

Uptime Institute, a division of The 451 Group, has announced the complete results of its third annual data center industry survey. The survey was developed to collect data on an annual basis around Digital Infrastructure deployment trends, procurement plans, operations and management practices, and other topics that impact the mission-critical data centre industry.

As part of this multi-million dollar engagement, IBM will build and manage CDS’s public cloud service based on IBM SmartCloud technology.

Eaton has named Kurt McMaken president – Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. He succeeds Yannis P. Tsavalas who is moving to a new role as senior vice president, strategic initiatives – Electrical Sector. McMaken will report to Thomas S. Gross, Eaton’s vice chairman and chief operating officer for Eaton’s Electrical Sector.
