Penguin Computing, a provider of high-performance computing, enterprise datacenter and cloud solutions, has announced availability of its Tundra™ Extreme Scale (ES) server platforms based on Cavium, second generation ARMv8-based ThunderX2 processors. Tundra ES Valkre servers powered by ThunderX2 processors are now available for public order, and a standard 19” rack mount models will ship in 3rd Calendar Quarter 2017.

DataCore Software's software-defined storage platform, SANsymphony, has been implemented on the cruise ship fleet of TUI Cruises, a joint venture between German TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., the world’s second-largest cruise company. The SANsymphony storage platform delivers highly-available and high-performance storage capacity for VMware, Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange.

Atos has introduced the Bull Sequana X1310, said to be the first productized supercomputer to use ARM processors. This new model is part of its Bull Sequana X1000 supercomputer range. Bull Sequana is an open range of supercomputers that is ready to support future Exascale technologies – which will make it possible to process a billion billion operations per second.
