The third Datacentre Transformation Conference (DTC13) to be held on 9th July 2013 in the aql datacentre conference centre in the United Kingdom at Leeds is drawing near. With a full day of presentations from professionals, industrialists and academics, the agenda will draw to a close with a panel session on the birth, within the aql datacentre, of the Leeds Internet Exchange, IXLeeds, and its significance to the local economy of Leeds. The panel will consist of the important stakeholders for this not-for-profit activity, namely from local government, commerce and industry.

During the day there will be two topical keynote presentations; one by Dr Robert Tozer from Operational Intelligence on operational improvements of datacentres to meet the economic and government policy pressures; and the second on Climate Change Policy for the Datacentre Industry by Emma Fryer of Intellect, UK.
This year there will be two parallel tracks of international contributions, each with a different focus. One track will have a research and development theme with academic and industrial presentations looking at progress in the physical and virtual layers of the datacentre.

The second track will focus on technical developments within the datacentre, comprising of short talks from the many conference sponsors.

Delegates are encouraged to join the evening networking event that will include a banquet in the Royal Armouries, which is situated very close to the aql conference venue and the many centrally located hotels. There are limited places at this evening networking event so to avoid any disappointment, book early on the conference website at www.dtconference.com
