Businesses running private cloud environments on HP CloudSystem can now access additional computing resources on-demand by safely bursting workloads to Arsys’public cloud when demand for computing power or capacity spikes.

Arsys has 300 employees, over 275,000 clients in 100 countries, and more than 1.5 million active services. In addition to cloud bursting, the company offers more than 100 technology solutions as well as cloud, managed and web hosting services. As a member of the HP CloudAgile Service Provider Program, Arsys is fully committed to helping customers gain maximum benefit from the cloud through bursting and other services.

"Cloud computing lays the foundation for an ecosystem where IT companies and service providers can offer more efficient solutions, increasing companies’ competitiveness and boosting the adoption of new technologies,” says Faustino Jimenez, CEO, Arsys. “This new concept of cloud computing offers the best of both worlds: the most reliable converged infrastructure and the advantages of outsourcing."

Leveraging bursting capabilities to Arsys’ public cloud enables HP CloudSystem users to view resources as pools of unlimited capacity which can be administered from a single management environment. HP CloudSystem users can deploy an application locally and burst to Arsys to meet peak demand, or move the application completely, freeing up local resources for business-critical applications.

Retailers, for example, can expand operations to support increased sales during busy holiday seasons, while containing costs. Bursting to Arsys’ public cloud will eliminate the need to purchase incremental infrastructure which would be underutilised the rest of year. Businesses can also extend geographic reach to locations where they are without a data center presence. As a result, customers have access to specialised resources such as a cloud that meets specific compliance criteria, or one supporting load testing and simulations.

Arsys’ cloud-based offerings run on industry-standard HP ProLiant servers and cloud-optimised HP 3PAR StoreServ Storage running hypervisors including VMware ESX/vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V. Arsys’ Orchestration software automates the provisioning of hybrid cloud services, enabling Arsys to respond with greater speed, quality and consistency.

“To increase agiligy, enterprises are increasingly using hybrid environments combining public and private clouds,” says José María de la Torre, VP and general manager HP Enterprise Group Iberia. “By providing technology, services and programs, HP enables CloudAgile partners to provide the vital connection between private clouds based on HP CloudSystem and public clouds like Arsys.“
