Encore for Easynet Global Services and The Ambassador Theatre Group

Easynet Global Services, Ipanema Technologies and The Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd (ATG) have signed a 3-year contract which sees Easynet and Ipanema provide a suite of new IT services including application-aware networking and security solutions. ATG has been an Easynet customer for the past six years. As its organisation has evolved, so has the need for its corporate network to support the business. Easynet and Ipanema have worked closely with ATG to identify, recommend and implement the IT solutions which will move it forward and help it to achieve its ambitious global growth plans as it expands into the US, and looks to break into new territories including Asia Pacific.

A driving force behind the UK’s dynamic entertainment industry, ATG delivers many critical applications across its network to the Groups various offices, venues and contact centres. Its Application Aware network facilitates this communication and integrates 39 theatres across the UK along with ATG sites in New York. The infrastructure is protected by Easynet’s security solutions which wrap around the theatre group’s network and provide a safe, secure environment for fast and effective collaboration between its different parties.

To best manage this infrastructure and to support technologies such as e-commerce and booking applications, ATG needed a complete picture of application performance across its network. Easynet therefore recommended Smart Application Assurance to provide deep analysis into application performance. This will give ATG a detailed and holistic view of its network, which when coupled with delivery guarantees, will offer a very strong foundation on which to run its business. Specifically, one of the most innovative, crucial application management products ATG will benefit from is Smart Response, which sees Easynet provide a proactive incident management SLA for application performance. If the performance of ATG’s critical applications drops below a threshold acceptable to the business, Easynet notifies ATG and analyses the cause, helping ATG make sure applications run at their optimum performance level and the business operates effectively.

Vin Govender, Technology Director, Ambassador Theatre Group said, “It’s an exciting time for ATG as we’re poised for global growth, and working hand-in-hand with Easynet and Ipanema gives us the confidence and peace-of-mind that is so important at this stage in our journey”.

Adrian Thirkill, UK managing director and COO for Easynet Global Services, “We’ve worked with ATG for years so we know their business inside out, and bringing in Ipanema with its application management expertise will take ATG’s technology platform to a new level. They’re dynamic with a flexible approach to adapt to the changing needs of their business never ceases to impress us”. He continues, “It’s a fantastic time to be supporting their organisation in the roll out of its global growth plans”.

Brecht Seurinck, Vice President Northern Europe, Ipanema Technologies, Ipanema Technologies commented: “ATG’s business relies on the latest collaboration applications including Unified Communications technologies. It is encouraging to see that they have recognised the need to implement Easynet’s Smart Application Assurance service powered by Ipanema to guarantee that business critical applications continue to perform in line with business needs.” He continued: “Collaboration applications themselves can perform poorly if left unmanaged but they can also consume large amounts of network resources to the detriment of other key applications too.”
