IT Europa and Angel Business Communications have announced further sponsors for the Managed Services & Hosting Summit which will be staged on 26 September 2013 at the Lancaster London Hotel. IBM, Arrow ECS, ccapps, Symantec, Adaptec and Webroot have joined AVG, Autotask, Dot Hill, EVault, Gigamon, Interxion and Tarmin as event sponsors, as interest in the Managed Services business model increases. With Managed Services revenue forecast to grow at 11.3% CAGR through to 2017, according to Insight Research, M&A activity in this segment is also accelerating as telecoms service providers, vendors and systems integrators all jostle to bring in the skills to fulfil increasing customer demand.

“With economies around the world showing no signs of any rapid growth, IT departments seem to be turning to Managed Services organisations to either take over the running of some of their IT services, allowing them to focus on new developments, or use Managed Services and the Cloud to enable them to deliver new applications without up-front capital or manpower investments,” says John Chapman, Content Director for the Managed Services & Hosting Summit.

The UK Managed Services & Hosting Summit 2013 is a management-level event designed to help channel organisations identify opportunities arising from the increasing demand for managed and hosted services and to develop and strengthen partnerships aimed at supporting sales.
The event will bring together leading hardware and software vendors, hosting providers, telecommunications companies, mobile operators and web services providers involved in managed services and hosting with resellers, integrators and service providers developing their own managed services portfolio and sales of hosted solutions. The Managed Services and Hosting Summit 2013 will feature a high-level conference programme exploring the impact of new business models and the changing role of information technology within modern businesses with a strong line-up of speakers headed by Tiffani Bova, VP and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner Research, who will provide the opening keynote. These conference sessions will be augmented by boardroom sessions presented by leading vendors and service providers which will provide further insight into the opportunities for channel organisations looking to expand their managed services portfolios. Throughout the day there will be many opportunities for both sponsors and delegates to meet fellow participants within the Summit exhibition and networking area.
