Mitel® has delivered a telephony solution for Princess Yachts forming one part of an extensive network upgrade and voice solution. The Mitel solution, in collaboration with leading Mitel partner NG Bailey, is enabling over 400 employees at the luxury brand to connect quickly and seamlessly across six locations, driving up productivity levels while streamlining costs.

The Mitel solution provides Princess Yachts with a highly flexible platform that reflects its premium values. By embracing a virtualised solution it has enabled the luxury brand to adopt a modern, future-proof approach to communication and collaboration, using a multi exchange platform to provide connectivity to six of its sites in Plymouth. Flexibility was a key feature and the VoIP solution has enabled employees to move around sites whilst remaining seamlessly connected.

The solution has enabled Princess Yachts to put in place an easily scalable IT strategy that will support the expansion of Mitel telephony in the future. Princess Yachts plans to integrate with Mitel’s collaboration application, MiCollab, providing real-time access to a host of applications and features for everyone within the organisation, either on or off premise. MiCollab will also extend the capabilities of mobile devices and allow employees to stay connected on the move without expensive call or roaming charges.

IT Infrastructure Team Leader at Princess Yachts, Ben Saunders, commented: “Mitel has a proven ability in enabling businesses to migrate from traditional TDM systems to virtualised unified communications. We have a flexible solution that has dramatically improved how our employees communicate and move around within the business and its scalability will support our future requirements. Luxury is core to our values and the Mitel solution reflects our focus on delivering a premium experience.”

Simon Skellon, UK Sales Director, Mitel commented: “Virtualising voice and data communications can transform the communication approach within an organisation by delivering feature-rich applications and real-time collaboration to boost productivity, enhance customer service levels and reduce costs. Mitel’s virtual solution enables brands like Princess Yachts to easily migrate to a modern communications infrastructure, minimising risk and maximising the positive impact on the business.”
