Leading SME software specialist CloudToo® has announced the launch of a Cloud Readiness Assessment (CRA) scheme, which provides small businesses with detailed reports on how ready they are to move to the Cloud.

The service, which can typically be conducted over the course of a day, starts with a review of the company’s business objectives and its general expectations of the financial, commercial and technical benefits available from deploying Cloud technology. The CloudToo® team also assesses the company’s existing IT set-up. Then using an easy to interpret traffic light notification process, CloudToo® reports on which areas are ready and which require greater focus before moving to the Cloud.

If required, CloudToo® can then use the assessment results to generate a solution plan and an on-going roadmap to match the company’s immediate and future needs within its budget and business timescales. Should a company then decide to move to the Cloud, CloudToo® will produce a secure and scalable deployment plan to deliver a successful move, without interrupting a company’s normal working practices.

According to Richard Ruddlesden, Sales Director of CloudToo® parent company Doherty Associates, “Cloud technology can deliver major financial, commercial and technical benefits to the SME. However, if the move to the Cloud is not thought through correctly, companies often run the risk of encountering a number of pitfalls. Our Cloud Readiness Assessment is specifically designed to assess both how ready a company is to move and what they need to do to make that move smoothly avoiding the pitfalls. CloudToo® has the expertise to advise entrepreneurs on all aspects the best route forward, even if ultimately that means a hybrid solution.”
