This project builds upon an earlier Zayo deployment that provided dark fibre links between 15 C4L locations in London Docklands data centers. The new networks provide underlying dark fibre infrastructure for C4L’s recently announced coreTX high-performance MPLS network. The coreTX network connects over 55 data centers across the UK, including the recently opened Infinity SDC Slough.

“Extending our network infrastructure and its capabilities is part of our vision to continue breaking down barriers faced by the UK technology community,” says Matt Hawkins, chairman of C4L. “We chose Zayo as a partner because for its existing coverage and in-depth expertise in fibre infrastructure, meaning we could depend on a quick, high-quality fibre roll-out and excellent ongoing operations.”

“Building this new network backbone will strengthen Zayo’s UK fibre footprint and will enable C4L to continue developing innovative service combinations for its customers over many years,” says Alastair Kane, vice president of Zayo Europe.
