A group of independent European IT services operators announced the creation of an alliance FREE ICT EUROPE FOUNDATION; created on the 10th March 2014, FREE ICT EUROPE aims to bring together the independent enterprise ICT aftermarket chain under the banner of “Freedom to Support, Repair and Resell” and is open for Third Party Maintainers, Software Support Organisations, ICT Brokerage Resellers, Spare Parts Suppliers, Rental and Leasing Companies to join.

"The European market we operate in is estimated to be worth over €50 billion and through us, every sector of the European economy benefits from the undeniable competitive element we bring to that market. On a daily basis, we provide our customers with quality products and high-level services at very competitive prices", says Christina Van Oostrum, President of Free ICT Europe. "In light of the challenges the ICT market faces, for the well-being of our customers the creation of this alliance imposed itself upon us. The time has come to get the recognition of our common values that unite all of us to become stronger, to defend the rights and interests of our customers, our businesses and Europe as a whole." she added.

While preserving its European aims, FREE ICT EUROPE will also develop ties with like minded bodies from across the globe that have the same vision of freedom of choice and self determination. "Our message is clear; the right to support, the right to repair and the right to resell must become a reality. Freedom to choose is a fundamental principle of Europe and we invite all those who recognize themselves in our message to join us." concludes Christina Van Oostrum.
The board of Free ICT Europe has already defined the pillars of its strategy. These will be specifically announced in the coming months.
