MTI is expanding its cloud portfolio to the international market to meet increased client demand, particularly across the US and AsiaPacific regions.
Following the success of its cloud services business across EMEA, MTI is now expanding its reach globally by establishing a new Point of Presence (PoP) with Equinix, the world’s largest datacentre and colocation provider.

MTI’s consultative, service-led approach to cloud tailors offerings to meet companies’ individual objectives and to solve their specific business challenges, unlike other ‘one size fits all’ offerings available in the market today. MTI’s services are underpinned by its Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) service, which helps clients simplify and improve service management, mitigate risk and reduce operational cost, through the proactive monitoring, analysis and management of applications, assets, environments and service processes (ITIL).

MTI’s cloud portfolio is based on agile, enterprise-class platforms and open reference architectures from the likes of EMC, Cisco, VMware, Citrix and Microsoft. The portfolio includes Everything-as-a-Service (XaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS), Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and Compute-as-a-Service (CaaS). This encompasses the corporate datacentre (private cloud), hosted (public cloud) and hybrid cloud environments, with flexible, scalable contracts, to meet businesses’ capex, opex or utility-based requirements.

Tony Conway, VP of Services at MTI, said: “We recognise the importance of providing clients with a range of cloud services that are just as agile as the solutions we design, deliver and support. Our extended reach is being driven by client demand, as many of our clients are global businesses with a significant presence in the US and Asia Pacific, as well as EMEA.

“We are delighted to be able to offer these extended cloud services to both existing and prospective clients all over the world, through the new agreement with Equinix. Its global reach and quality of facilities will be of huge benefit as we continue to develop and deliver new services to market and toensure we deliver real and lasting results.”

“Sam Johnston, Director of Cloud and IT services at Equinix, commented: “Cloud is no longer a nice to have - it’s critical to business transformation. The Equinix cloud ecosystem gives businesses the ability to choose from the best combination of cloud infrastructure, platform and software service providers to ensure they have the ideal hybrid cloud solution to meet their individual business needs. Assuch, it’s crucial we continue to expand our ecosystem with best in class cloud providers such as MTI who produce agile, expert cloud services directly to customers; and that further complement the wide choice of secure and high performing connectivity options we already provide.”
