Zerto has appointed Peter Godden to lead a new European headquarters in support of its 100% channel model and rapidly growing partner community.
Godden will head a newly appointed team that includes sales, marketing and support an existing community of over 160 partners that use Zerto as part of their respective portfolios. In 2013, Zerto added 141 partners across 23 countries and expects similar strong growth in EMEA during 2014.

Zerto is capitalising on a unique position as the first hypervisor-based replication that from a single interface enables the orchestration, reporting and monitoring of BC/DR operations across multiple sites for enterprises and cloud service providers (CSPs).

“Arriving at Zerto, it’s rare to be at a company that is truly breaking new ground with its approach to disaster recovery and replication within cloud and virtualised environments. I am looking forward to working with a number of familiar managed services providers and enterprises that are embracing the technology trend,” says Godden who joins as VP for EMEA following senior executive roles at Isilon, HP, LeftHand Networks, Veritas and Backbone Software in a career spanning 17+ years.
The European office will promote the Zerto Alliance Partner (ZAP) Program that comprises of more than 350 channel partners worldwide. The ZAP program is a free, tier-based program that provides partners with financial benefits and a range of technical, marketing and sales tools to assist in the sale of Zerto Virtual Replication software to enterprises, and build value added BC/DR services.

Zerto customers include Kingfisher plc, Europe’s largest home improvement retail group and the third largest in the world, with 988 stores in eight countries retail brands including B&Q, Castorama, Brico Dépôt and Screwfix. “We virtualized our environment to better leverage assets within our data centers, and we were making great progress, until it came to the BC/DR strategy,” explains James Horrod, Group Platform Architect for Kingfisher IT, “A traditional, physical solution was not meeting our needs. Zerto not only met our requirements, it far exceeded our expectations in terms of service levels where today we see RPOs of seconds and RTOs of minutes.”
