Phoenix IT appoints new head of Partner Business

Phoenix IT Group announces the appointment of Alistair Blaxill as head of its Partner Business unit which provides services to large IT outsourcers and integrators. Alistair joins Phoenix from Northgate Arinso (NGA), a leading provider of global human resources, software, services and outsourced solutions, where he was Regional President for the UK, Ireland and Africa. At NGA he reshaped the business to focus on its key customers; developed a new range of service propositions; and took the lead in developing stronger relationships with a wide range of customers.

Before joining NGA, Alistair worked with Steve Vaughan, Phoenix IT’s Chief Executive, at Communisis plc., the Marketing Services provider, where he led the team responsible for large customer relationships, transforming and growing the business based on selling higher value services and growing profitably.
Alistair was also Director of Technology Services for Hewlett Packard UK and Ireland, responsible for the delivery of all IT services to HP’s corporate and enterprise customers, worth about £600m per annum.


“Alistair joins Phoenix with a wealth of industry and leadership experience gained from helping businesses develop markets and sell high value service solutions to customers. He will run the Partner Business Unit, improving its profitability, expanding the scope of existing client relationships and helping to win new customers. He has particular skills in the implementation of account management which will be very important in introducing and developing this approach within Phoenix,” commented Steve Vaughan.
