Bloor, a leading European based analyst house, which recently celebrated its Silver Jubilee, is kicking off the next 25 years by enhancing its portfolio with the acquisition of consulting and advisory firm The CIO Partnership. Benefits from this new agreement are already being seen with the news that global real estate consultancy Knight Frank, has signed up to the new executive advisory programme offered now via Bloor as a result of the acquisition. For Bloor, the move is the first step in what will be a landmark period of acquisitions, investment and growth, going into the year ahead.

Justin Speake, the CEO of Bloor, commented that the acquisition is set to usher in an exciting new era for the widely regarded British-based analyst firm: “Having recently celebrated our Silver Jubilee it’s imperative, as we now enter our next 25 years, we are able to demonstrate that growth and innovation remain at the forefront of our business model.”

Speake continued: “We have been involved in a strategic relationship with The CIO Partnership for over three years now. As a result, we have been able to support them in offering the end-user community insight and analysis into current and emerging technologies, and how they can be incorporated across their business.

“Having The CIO Partnership officially integrated under the Bloor brand now means we have the ability to enhance our service offering by supplying first class vendor, end-user advisory and consulting services, to our ever expanding portfolio. We see this as very much the first rung on the ladder in what is expected to be an exciting future.”

The CIO Partnership was set up to provide trusted, objective advice when it comes to leveraging IT. Richard Rose, the co-founder of The CIO Partnership and now Bloor President shares Speake’s enthusiasm brought about by the acquisition: “The opportunity to partner with an established brand, such as Bloor, gave us a platform to enhance our service offering to a much greater audience.

“Being part of Bloor now means we are able to work closer with its analysts providing greater consultation to clients through a blend of enriched thought leadership, operational management and incisive assessment. We now have the resources available to strengthen existing relationships and grow new ones. We too welcome this opportunity to strengthen both entities under one brand and look forward to a bright future together.”

The fruits of the relationship seen via the acquisition are already being seen. This follows the announcement that real estate consultancy Knight Frank, will be the first client inducted on to the newly formed executive advisory programme. This will allow the property firm to utilise accumulated knowledge from both Bloor analysts and the CIO Partnership advisors in order to refine strategic alignment of IT functionality across its business.

Owen Williams, Partner and Group Head of IT at Knight Frank commented: “The role of technology at the heart of business change is increasing. Having access to the executive advisory programme from Bloor will provide a fantastic opportunity to engage with experienced and qualified industry experts who not only understand the IT landscape but, more importantly, understand how it can be used to support Knight Frank’s business objectives. Ensuring broad consideration of the opportunities that are available to us before adopting an approach will allow the Partnership to focus on maintaining its role as a sector leader.”
