“Mirantis OpenStack gives developers and operators the reliability, choice and freedom they want for their private clouds. Working with Nexenta extends these values to their storage requirements,” said Mirantis CMO, Boris Renski.

“We are delighted to extend the value of our customer’s investment in their Software-Defined data centers with our partnership with OpenStack leader, Mirantis,” said Tarkan Maner, CEO and Chairman of Nexenta. “Nexenta’s unified Software-Defined Storage portfolio supporting file, block and object services is an enterprise-ready option for customers and partners deploying OpenStack.”

Nexenta has updated the Cinder driver for NexentaStor in OpenStack Juno, providing customers with a cost-effective and scalable backend for storing both virtual machine images and application data. OpenStack Compatible certification will become available in the upcoming weeks.

Mirantis and Nexenta will extend their technical and commercial collaboration to other parts of their portfolio including Mirantis OpenStack’s on-demand, hosted option, OpenStack Express, and to NexentaEdge, Nexenta’s high performance object storage platform.
