Eric Boonstra, Managing Director at EvoSwitch, says: “Our commitment to sustainability is something we carry in our DNA at EvoSwitch. Since our start in 2007, we have operated our AMS1 data center carbon-neutral and were first in the Netherlands to do so. All of our energy comes from renewable sources, including wind, and our focus remains on using as little energy as possible in the operation of our data centers. We use outside air combined with adiabatic cooling for our suites in AMS1, which brings our daily PUE scores to slightly below 1.2 in our newest Halls, exceeding the current industry averages.” “We are very pleased to now have this firm commitment to sustainability confirmed by independent outside experts”, adds Andy Hoogeland, Quality Assurance Manager for EvoSwitch.

The ISO 14001:2004 standard sets out a process for the control and the continuous improvement of an Environmental Management System in support of an organization’s environmental policies. EvoSwitch promotes sustainability and environmental awareness via their Green Fan Program, which provides customers with resources for their own customer engagements.
