The organisations will combine their respective expertise in secure hosting and through-life application support to offer full end-to-end services to customers across the public and private sectors for whom information security and premium service delivery are paramount.

The combination of IPL and MDS provides clients with the peace of mind that their applications and the data they handle are being looked after by UK-based security-cleared experts at all times, using processes aligned with industry best practice.

Premium service
The partnership will provide customers with premium service for both hosting and ongoing application support.
MDS Technologies actively manages customers’ hosting, which can cut infrastructure costs by up to 60%.
IPL has repeatedly saved organisations the cost and upheaval of regular application replacement by proactively extending the life of systems to keep them relevant, performant, compliant and supported, drawing on its long-standing software engineering expertise and deep technology knowledge.
Moreover, with IPL and MDS Technologies both being vendor-agnostic, customers will benefit from the right solution for their needs every time, rather than being tied to a particular technology.

Backed by international standards for security, quality and environmental friendliness
IPL and MDS Technologies are both certified to ISO 9001 (for quality), ISO 27001 (for information security) and ISO 14001 (for environmental management). These certifications are complemented by the MDS data centres being JSP 440-accredited, while being among the most efficient in the UK, consuming 50% less energy than the industry standard.

Simon Catley, Services Director at IPL, said: “With increasing amounts of data being shared and stored digitally, security is more important than it has ever been. Customers need to know they’re working with partners who understand this importance and who place security at the very centre of everything they do.”

Karen Young, General Manager at MDS Technologies, added: “We are looking forward to working more closely with IPL to enable the delivery of our shared vision; the delivery of assured digital services which make a real difference to the society in which we live.”
