Unitrends has added new data centres in Australia, Canada, Germany and the UK to better serve customers in Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America.

Organisations across the US have paired Unitrends’ proven hybrid cloud offering with the company’s Recovery-Series family of physical purpose-built backup appliances and its Unitrends Enterprise Backup™ (UEB) software for storage, long-term retention, disaster recovery and business continuity. Now, with the worldwide expansion of Unitrends Cloud, customers across the globe have access to all of the same cutting-edge features and functionality.

“Environments are getting more complex, data growth continues to skyrocket and traditional restore technologies are struggling to keep pace,” said Kevin Weiss, Unitrends’ president and chief executive officer. “Unitrends’ hybrid cloud provides organisations with a fully-integrated disaster recovery and business continuity solution that makes it radically simple for them to meet evolving data protection requirements. Our U.S. customers have found this highly reliable, integrated approach far superior to the cloud connectors they use with other vendors. This is evidenced by the 300 percent year-over-year growth of our cloud business in the first half of 2015. As we continue to rapidly expand our international footprint, we want to ensure our global customers have easy access to the same trusted cloud services.”

Unitrends Cloud is offered in three service levels:
· Metered (for storage) – Stores selected last backups in the Unitrends Cloud and allows customers to acquire 250 gigabyte (GB) increments of protected capacity.
· No Limits Cloud™ (for storage and disaster recovery) – Stores an exact image of local physical or virtual appliance contents in the Unitrends Cloud on an unmetered basis.
· Forever Cloud™ (for storage, disaster recovery and long-term retention) – Stores selected daily, weekly and monthly backups in the Unitrends Cloud, along with an infinite number of annual backups, and allows customers to acquire 500 GB increments of protected capacity.

Unitrends Cloud customers also have the option to purchase Unitrends DRaaS™, which gives them the ability to spin up VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines as well as physical or virtual Windows servers in the cloud – expediting disaster recovery from several days to within one hour. Additionally, customers can select Unitrends’ ReliableDR™ technology as an added layer for VMware and Hyper-V recovery assurance. The solution automates disaster recovery governance and testing, giving organisations the ability to validate – on a continuous basis – that their data, systems and infrastructures are always protected. Using ReliableDR, organisations can ensure that their entire environment will be restored at the application level in accordance with defined recovery point objectives (RPOs), recovery time objectives (RTOs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

“Unitrends Cloud offers our customers unprecedented storage, long-term retention, disaster recovery and recovery assurance capabilities,” continued Weiss. “IT professionals get peace of mind with Unitrends knowing that, if the unthinkable happens, they will be able to ‘recover more’ than just their data – they will be able to recover everything they need to get the business back up and running quickly.”
