However, while UK business confidence is still relatively high, recent figures from Grant Thornton show confidence dropped to 65% in Q1 2015 from 68% in the previous quarter (Q4 2014). The study highlights that the biggest concerns for UK business leaders are a lack of skilled workers, economic uncertainty, and regulation and red tape.
Bradley Maule-ffinch, IP EXPO Europe’s director of strategy, says: “With economic uncertainty at an all-time high, it’s a critical time for businesses in the European Union. It’ll be interesting to see how business confidence changes in the coming months.”

According to research from IP EXPO Europe, IT leaders in Scotland expressed most business confidence (81%) in the EU, followed by London (76%) and Wales (75%).
