Aria Networks has launched the series of new applications available immediately at AriaOnline.

Designed to enable service providers to visualise, optimise and self-heal any combination of physical and virtual networks, the latest apps address three of the key issues faced by complex global networks:

·         Modelling of network traffic
·         Network traffic routing assistance
·         Assessment of potential points of failure

The Traffic Modelling app enables the user to model the impact of manipulation of demand matrices for growth or the definition of a particular service profile. It also enables traffic scheduling, traffic prediction, routing and incorporates functionality from results from the Worst Case Failure (WCF) analysis.  The app further benefits the network by providing a future view based on pragmatic modelling assumptions enabling more informed decisions.  Further functionality allows the modelled network to then be used as an input for new capacity demands.

The Routing app can perform IP, TE, Optical, BGP and Multi-Layer routing on new or upgraded networks. The app provides a holistic view of the network and optimises the placement of the input demand requests. By providing a more objective driven approach to path placement the network can be optimised for the needs of the business without the need for investment in further, bespoke, software solutions.

The Failure Impact app extends Worst Case Failure (WCF), to visualise impacts on the network or operational changes required as a result of planned engineering works or emergency repairs.  This app enables complex computations and implications to be assessed without the need for lengthy operational or capital expenditure.  It also allows upgrades and repairs to be operationally planned, helping longer term strategic decision making - for instance, assessing the impact of moving network protection from an existing service to an alternative such as link based fast reroute.

Steve Newton, CEO of Aria Networks comments: “Globally networks face the same issues: how to profitably deliver a more effective service in light of increased demand for data.  Aria Networks is leading its sector by creating apps that network operators can download and use to overcome common issues.   The launch of these three new applications further demonstrates our commitment to deliver services to our customers that are easier to deploy and manage, in a format that suits them.”
