SevOne has unveiled a series of enhancements for its SevOne Digital Infrastructure Management Platform that extend the ability of Operations and IT teams to generate unmatched operational insights.

The new enhancements include SevOne 5.6, and SevOne Performance Log Appliance 2.1, along with new support for Cisco ACI, VMware vCenter, Viptela SD-WAN, Cisco Intelligent-WAN, Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos, and Amazon Web Services Virtual Private Cloud. The new capabilities allow companies to realize the business value from initiatives such as software-defined data center (SDDC), software-defined WAN (SD-WAN), hybrid cloud, and carrier network virtualization.

As more companies pursue digital transformation initiatives, they are looking to next-generation infrastructure to support their business goals. These new environments are infinitely complex and difficult to scale, support and maintain. Many of the legacy infrastructure management tools cannot support these environments. Management systems must be able to visualize, analyze and interact with the entire infrastructure to better understand what is happening, whom it is happening to, why it happened and how they experienced it.

“Companies are well into their journeys with next-generation virtualized environments to accelerate their businesses, yet they don’t have the required level of operational insight,” said Jack Sweeney, CEO, SevOne. “The enhancements to the SevOne Platform give companies unprecedented business agility by allowing them to proactively manage more of their digital infrastructure, visualize and report in real time, and troubleshoot using logs at scale.”

“As companies deploy services in a software-defined world, it’s critical for them to understand, in real time, how these services and the underlying physical and virtual infrastructure they run on are performing,” said Jim Duffy, Senior Networking Analyst, 451 Research. “When companies have real-time infrastructure management, analysis and alerting, like that now provided by SevOne, operational insight across the infrastructure is possible.”

Additional benefits from the newly unveiled enhancements include:

? Real-time Troubleshooting with Metrics, Flows, and Now Logs at Scale
Leverage terabytes of log data a day for real-time analysis with multi-variable baselines, first occurrence alerting and translation of complicated message codes into human-readable text.

? Improved Reporting and Infrastructure Visualization with Live Maps
View alerts for nodes and paths with a single click to deliver real-time insights across thousands of users. Alerts are displayed instantly as soon as they are created.

? Service-Based Insights into Digital Infrastructure
Visualize L2/L3 network connectivity with real-time status overlays for any digital infrastructure including Cisco ACI, OpenStack, MPLS LDP tunnels and VMware-based infrastructures. These L2/L3 relationships can be accessed via a topographical display, or directly via the SevOne API.

? Scalable SD-WAN Support
Assure performance of Cisco IWAN and Viptela SD-WAN-based implementations that organizations are rapidly adopting to simplify the connectivity of their global operations.

? Software-Defined and Cloud-based Digital Infrastructure Management
Get real-time data collection and topology awareness across Mesos, Docker and Kubernetes-based implementations. Pull critical performance metrics directly from Amazon Web Services VPC-based environments and correlate them with metric, flow, log and end-user experience data.

? Native Cisco ACI Integration
Monitor and manage the performance of Cisco ACI infrastructure and automatically understand physical, endpoint and tenant topological relationships. Monitor KPIs related to network and infrastructure utilization across enterprise and carrier-based ACI implementations while providing granular reporting and deep performance alerts.

? New Flow Alerting and Enhancements
Create policies and thresholds to generate alerts based on flow-based information to gain deeper visibility into application performance via NetFlow, IPFIX, J-Flow, sFlow, AppFlow, while also supporting Cisco AVC and NBAR2.
