Hewlett Packard Enterprise has introduced extensions to the Cloud28+ open technology framework to enable automatic deployment of enterprise cloud apps, decreased time to market for Cloud28+ partners and increased choice for customers. Cloud28+ enhancements include an App Center, a partner dashboard based on real-time analytics, and compatibility with additional technology platforms.
Through Cloud28+, customers and partners can easily find trusted, enterprise-grade services and then connect directly with a local Service Provider for deployment or install the apps on-premises. Cloud28+ enables customers to choose the right mix of private cloud, public cloud, and professional services for their business to help them transform to a hybrid IT environment, while complying with local regulations. Cloud28+ has expanded the selection of supported technologies to now include HPE Helion OpenStack®, Microsoft Azure, VMware, Ormuco, and Docker. The expanded technology platform makes a wide range of services available, while at the same time enabling application portability from one service provider to another leveraging a Containers as a Service (CaaS) framework based on Docker Datacenter.
“With these latest extensions, we take the step towards an app-store like deployment of enterprise cloud services and broaden the footprint of Cloud28+,” said Khaled Chaar, managing director at the CANCOM subsidiary, PIRONET, and member of the Cloud28+ advisory council. “This increases business opportunities for partners, enhances relevance and usability for customers, and will help realize our overall mission to grow enterprise cloud adoption in Europe.”
The new Cloud28+ App Center will host Dockerized apps from ISV partners which can be downloaded and automatically installed at the premises of a service provider or an end customer. These Dockerized applications can then be deployed into production environments through Docker Datacenter. In future, the App Center will also support non-containerized applications. In order to ensure compatibility, apps are automatically tested by the new App Onboarding Center prior to inclusion in the App Center.
Additional enhancements to the Cloud28+ user interface for both customers and partners include:
· New search and filter capabilities via latest trends, vertical industry, keyword, language, and Service Level Agreement, making it faster and easier for customers to find the services that match their business requirements.
· A new publication platform for partners to upload and manage their services in the Cloud28+ Service Center, as well as new promotional functions, facilitating the onboarding of services and expanding marketing opportunities.
· A real-time analytics dashboard for partners to provide a new way to market their services and track their business progress. This includes detailed customer lead generation information and results from their marketing activities within the Cloud28+ promotion engine.
“Cloud28+ is rapidly becoming a Cloud of Clouds, helping organizations accelerate their pace of innovation,” said Xavier Poisson Gouyou Beauchamps, vice president for hybrid IT in Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “The extensions of the Cloud28+ open technology framework we announce today are a major milestone on our journey to create a single marketplace for enterprise cloud services, providing customers and partners a true multi-cloud experience.”
