DataLynx UK Ltd, a leading provider of data migration and data quality consultancy services for both public and private sector clients, has joined the Cloud Industry Forum’s (CIF) Industry Membership Program under its new Service Provider and Consultancy level.
DataLynx is a well-established data migration specialist with over 14 years’ experience supporting government, corporates and vendors. With a strong track record in tackling challenging data migration projects and providing reliable and expert support, DataLynx is considered to be a trusted partner by its clients.
Charles Spinks, Managing Director of DataLynx, said: “Drawing on our considerable expertise as a specialist in data migration, we have recently turned our attention to supporting Cloud vendors and we are successfully making in-roads into this exciting area. Cloud migrations present their own challenges and we have overcome these by developing a purpose-built migration engine that provides the accessibility, security and scalability required by vendors and end-users alike.
“As part of this transition it was therefore logical to join the leading industry body representing the interests of the Cloud community. We are therefore delighted to be joining the growing ranks of the Cloud Industry Forum,” he continued.
CIF recently launched a number of new membership levels to suit the differing business needs of Cloud providers no matter their size, scale or product and service offering. The new Industry Membership Program is now segmented into:
- Level 1: Cloud start-ups – with a 12-month subscription subsidised by CIF
- Level 2: Consultancies and Smaller Cloud Service Providers
- Level 3: Cloud Service Providers, vendors and Cloud Aggregators (the existing highly successful membership)
Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, stated: “Cloud computing is rapidly becoming a matter of fact for the vast majority of businesses both in the public and private sectors. The drift of data and complexity from on-premise or dedicated physical servers and local client applications to the Cloud started some time ago and is growing in momentum. Building an IT infrastructure in the Cloud is a very different beast to building a traditional network, and many end user organisations are turning to trusted suppliers to help them on that journey.
“CIF has long recognised this and so we launched the new membership program to address the growing ecosystem of not just vendors but other organisations operating in the broader Cloud market. A key part of this new landscape is the growth of Cloud consultancies and so we needed to develop an attractive option for them to be able to join and participate within CIF. DataLynx is the latest to join the growing ranks of the organisation and we are delighted to welcome them on board,” Hilton added.
