Start-rite, founded in 1792, will be using Foregenix’s eCommerce threat detection solution FGX-Web. The solution is designed to bake security into e-commerce websites to protect them from the online criminal threat. The solution supports all of the most popular ecommerce platforms such as Magento, Drupal, OS Commerce and many others.
A specialist threat intelligence team supports clients and manages threats that FGX-Web identifies. It will also advise on best cyber security practice to deter cyber criminals.
Foregenix’s own recent research based on 60,000 e-commerce websites, found that 78% are vulnerable to cyber criminals, with the main reason for poor security identified as businesses failing to take even basic precautions such as updating software.
A new report from Visa revealed that 72% of consumers have abandoned a purchase owing to “basket anxiety” about online security or the length of the process.
Foregenix’s customers can use its ‘Secure Seal’ logo on their websites to show customers they are taking proactive measures with their cyber security.
Claire Knight, Head of Ecommerce at Start-rite Shoes, said: “The proactive hands-on approach of Foregenix means we know that we have specialists dealing with our cyber security 24/7. We feel we’re in safe hands and parents can be reassured their data is safe as they buy footwear for the new school year.”
Andrew Henwood, CEO of Foregenix, said: “The online experience is an essential part of any business’ reputation, especially high profile retail brands like Start-rite. Cyber security is about protecting both the seller and consumer. Start-rite is aware of the dangers posed by cyber criminals and want only the best online security for buyers.”
