“Federal customers are large and dynamic with demanding compliance and security requirements, and we are pleased to serve many today, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Air Force, among others,“ said Rob Salmon, COO and president of Cohesity. “Mark’s deep expertise in the public sector and proven sales growth with federal technology will accelerate our ability to serve federal customers and play a key role in guiding our expansion plans."

Weber is a federal technology executive and leader with over 30 years of experience in technology sales and engineering. Mark served as senior vice president for the Americas at NetApp, leading channels, engineering, professional services, business development, finance, operations, and marketing across North America, South America, and the U.S. public sector. Prior to NetApp, Weber held similar roles for Sun Microsystems.

"In speaking with Cohesity Federal customers, they’re impressed with the significant operational gains and simplicity that Cohesity brings with its modern, web-scale architecture,” Weber said. “Federal customers are already spending a tremendous amount on fragmented, siloed legacy infrastructure, and with Cohesity’s consolidated solution this can help public sector customers dramatically improve their IT environments and reduce total cost of ownership.”
