Nlyte introduces Nlyte Insight for Nutanix

Nlyte Software has introduced Nlyte Insight for Nutanix - a purpose-built extension for use by Nutanix Prism users. The new offering enables organizations with Nutanix Prism deployments to gain complete understanding of their critical infrastructure and how it impacts the workloads being managed by Nutanix.

Nlyte Insight for Nutanix expands the capabilities of Nlyte Asset Optimizer to improve the operational management of workload assets and visibility of/within Nutanix Prism deployments.  The module automatically discovers, tracks, and manages hardware, software, and IoT assets across an organization’s global network.

“Nlyte Insight for Nutanix gives organizations unprecedented transparency on the specific resources supporting their varying workloads and virtualization instances.  This is essential in order to bridge the gap between critical infrastructure and IT operations,” said Rob Neave, CTO and VP of Product Management.  “With insight across all Nutanix workloads, Nlyte can act as a ‘manager of managers’ for critical infrastructure applications depend on.”

Organizations using Nutanix Prism have traditionally lacked transparency on how their critical infrastructure impacts workloads and virtual instances and have instead waited for issues to occur before making operational changes. Nltye Insight for Nutanix will help organizations:

  • Reduce complexity and cost of managing a virtualized data center
  • Increase control and optimization of both physical and virtual resources
  • Eliminate multiple management systems and manual processes to coordinate views
  • Provide clear identification of Guests & Hosts during outages
  • Ensure all applications have contingency plans during outages
  • Reduce risk during moves, adds and decommissions of critical assets
  • Reduce MTTR by identifying rack location of physical servers hosts are running on
  • Synchronize real-time application relationship changes in the hypervisor

“As applications grow in usage and importance, understanding how infrastructure assets can affect workload performance is becoming more critical,” said Enzo Greco, Nlyte Chief Strategy Officer.  “Nlyte Insight for Nutanix gives an organization the insight into not only where a single workload is and whether it’s attached to weak or strong critical infrastructure, but it can also identify if a dense set of Prism workloads creates a potential single point of failure.”
