With over 5,000 compute nodes and a theoretical peak performance of 26 petaFLOPs, the “Hawk” supercomputer is among the fastest high-performance computers in the world designed to advance applications in energy, climate, mobility and health.

Built in partnership with HPE, theHawk” supercomputer leverages the excellent performance and unique features of AMD 2nd Gen EPYC™ processors (EPYC 7742), allowing scientists and researchers to run more complex simulations and faster than ever before. In addition, it represents the largest installation of 2nd Gen EPYC processors in Germany and one of the largest in the whole EMEA region.
