Sungard Availability Services expands UK data centre footprint

New data hall increases existing footprint to meet growing customer demand for cloud connected infrastructure.

In response to growing demand in 2020 for colocation and cloud services, Sungard Availability Services has announced significant expansion of its data centre footprint in Woking. The company’s newly expanded Technology Centre 3 (TC3) data hall is now open for use, enabling incremental growth of 1.5MW of resilient power. Sungard AS’ Connected Infrastructure Hubs provide customers access to high-performance, low-latency connectivity to public cloud environments and other global destinations.

 

As the demand for Hybrid IT is increasing, the UK’s data centre market continues to expand and is now predicted to be worth £6.6 billion by 2025.  Witnessing positive re-investment in data centre space in the UK, from public sector organisations and the energy, retail, and financial services industries, Sungard AS continues to commit to the market by expanding its Woking data centre footprint.
