Gigamon continues to advance cybersecurity resilience today announcing new certifications and the availability of its deep observability pipeline on leading digital marketplaces across the IT ecosystem. With more than 200 integrations with leading security, observability, and cloud tools, Gigamon continues to expand its offerings across top marketplaces—digital catalogs of software listings from independent software vendors that make it easy for customers to find, test, buy, and deploy solutions. This enables organizations worldwide to more easily attain the deep observability needed to effectively secure and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure.

According to the 2024 Hybrid Cloud Security Survey of more than 1,000 global Security and IT leaders, 84 percent agree that deep observability is a foundational element of cloud security. The Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline helps organizations secure and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure by efficiently delivering network telemetry directly to cloud, security, and traditional observability, helping to eliminate blind spots, optimize network traffic, and increase existing tool efficiency by up to 90 percent. This capability is becoming mission-critical for organizations securing and managing complex IT infrastructure in today’s dynamic threat landscape.

“Among the biggest vulnerabilities today for cybersecurity teams is the limited visibility they face relying exclusively on metric, event, log, and trace (MELT) tools and data to detect suspicious activity across their infrastructure,” said Srinivas Chakravarty, vice president of Cloud Ecosystem at Gigamon. “The evolving threat environment requires more: network-derived telemetry and insights to bring deep observability to existing security and observability tools, detecting previously unseen threats and performance anomalies. Establishing certified integrations with leading tools and providing easy access on marketplaces to our deep observability pipeline enables Security and IT teams to bolster and strengthen their defense-in-depth strategies and extend the value of their current tool stack.”

New Marketplaces Expand Availability of the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline

Building on the company’s recent Power of 3 initiatives, Gigamon continues to expand and support its cybersecurity ecosystem which includes channel and technology alliance partners. The Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline efficiently delivers network-derived telemetry and insights in the form of packets, flows, and application metadata, from multiple networks spanning data centers and public and private cloud instances, and goes beyond traditional metric, event, log, and trace (MELT) data. This helps provide the deep observability organizations need to detect previously hidden threats, make their tools more efficient, and strengthen their overall security posture, as well as reduce overall complexity. Specifically, teams are uniquely able to gain visibility into lateral (East-West) traffic, encrypted traffic, and container traffic across hybrid cloud infrastructure using tools currently in place.

"Ecosystems and deep integrations are instrumental in driving scale and the widespread deployment of technology stacks. Security and observability are no exception, as witnessed by ongoing broad industry partnerships. To this end, Gigamon continues to demonstrate its ability to support the vast ecosystem of security, observability, and cloud tools that aim to optimize business outcomes,” said Will Townsend, vice president and principal analyst, Moor Insights & Strategy. "Whether its modernizing infrastructure or rationalizing and consolidating tool sets, access to proven integrations and marketplaces that unlock deep observability has the potential to help IT teams reduce complexity and lower cost while significantly bolstering cyber resilience."
