Kyndryl, an enterprise technology services provider, introduces an AI-enabled strategy to enhance SAP transformations. This approach, termed the "Clean Field," seeks to offer customers a swifter, adaptable, and more economical journey from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The initiative aims to build a digital infrastructure to accommodate changing operational and business requirements.

The blueprint employs agentic AI, thanks to Kyndryl's partnership with Nova Intelligence. This technology aids in customising and aligning SAP software codes, helping support clean core migration for clients. This process promotes a modular system architecture, making ERP upgrades simpler and more efficient.

Michael Bradshaw of Kyndryl notes the critical need for flexible SAP transformations, free from legacy hindrances. According to him, combining Kyndryl's Clean Field strategy with its SAP expertise provides customers with a disciplined path to SAP S/4HANA, reducing technical debt and manual interventions while promoting sustainability.

The approach also integrates benefits from Kyndryl’s IT modernisation services, aligning with clients' unique objectives. Notably, it aims to support clients with several solutions:

  • SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC): Utilising SAP BDC, Kyndryl combines diverse data and leverages Databricks for AI model training. This establishes a foundation for generative AI and predictive insights.
  • SAP Cloud ERP: Embedding agentic AI ensures that real-time intelligence aids in effective collaboration and fast scalability across teams.
  • SAP Signavio: Integrated AI enhances process visibility, swiftly identifying inefficiencies to speed up transformations.
  • SAP LeanIX: AI-driven services within LeanIX automate tasks, fostering data-informed planning and governance.

Kyndryl, a recognised global RISE with SAP partner, continues its collaboration with SAP. This partnership supports the integration of AI tools within Kyndryl’s Clean Field approach to assist with SAP transformation projects.
