Vertiv has announced the acquisition of BMarko Structures LLC, a U.S.-based provider of custom-engineered structural fabrication.

The move comes as AI data centre deployments continue to increase, placing greater demand on infrastructure systems to scale more quickly. By integrating BMarko into its Infrastructure Solutions division in North America, Vertiv aims to strengthen its supply capabilities. The acquisition is expected to expand engineering and manufacturing capacity and support the delivery of manufactured, prefabricated, and converged infrastructure with increased speed, control, and customisation.

BMarko is recognised for its structural fabrication capabilities and engineering expertise, demonstrated through previous project work with Vertiv. The acquisition is intended to support execution processes, improve material and process control, and enhance Vertiv’s ability to respond to changing infrastructure requirements.

As AI development continues to influence infrastructure design, customers are placing greater emphasis on time-to-capacity, flexibility, and efficiency. The acquisition is positioned to support these requirements by improving systems-level performance and addressing increasing infrastructure complexity.

Founded in 2014 and based in Williamston, South Carolina, BMarko specialises in custom-engineered builds using steel and wood frames. Its engineering and fabrication facility has recently expanded to around 560,000 square feet. The proximity of this site to Vertiv’s regional manufacturing operations is noted as providing logistical alignment, particularly for AI factory and data centre applications.

The integration of BMarko’s capabilities is expected to support Vertiv’s position in the infrastructure sector, with a focus on meeting current demand and adapting to future infrastructure requirements.
